Important Information about the AQIP Categories Revision

QUICK TIPS (this section will be updated continually during this transition period):

1. Process for transitioning to the new electronic  Systems Portfolio

The institution requests a new URL that contains the 2008 Categories Revision. I create a new URL for the institution that contains the new template. The template has all of the new Items in the Sections and Subsections set up. Beyond that, it is empty. None of your school's content is transferred automatically to the new URL.

Someone from your institution will need to transfer content from your original site to the new site.

2. Custom Banner/Template Transfer

If your original site has a custom banner/template and if you wish to transfer it to the new URL/site, follow these steps:

·         You can transfer the template from your original site to your new site by going to:

·         Site Management tab

·         Design Center

·         Category: pull down menu to "Custom Design Engine"

·         Find your institution and click "choose this one"

·         Double-check to make sure that the Title, Slogan, Footer Description, Keywords transferred

3. If you copy content that contains hyperlinks from    

            the original site and paste this content

to the new template, make sure the hyperlinks are live. Also, double-check to see if they are configured in the Link Targeting Section as New - Open Site in a New Window.”
